How do you catch overconfidence? How do you talk to someone who is being overconfident?
Overconfidence is a funny thing. If you knew you were being overconfident, you wouldn't do it. When we identify it in other people we are doubting their ability. Is it something that can be "caught" before the situation comes crashing down or is it only a postmortem discovery?
I asked Catherine Navarro, Eric James Smith and Chris McLaughlin to share their thoughts and experience. One thing we all agreed on, being publicly overconfident always leads to embarrassment.
