Whenever I go and preach at other people’s churches, I always bring these hard messages that speak directly to what needs to be spokenFor whatever reason, I’ve lacked the courage to speak those messages at times to my own people- We’ll be back to Mark next week- but lets prime the pump hereEnds today. As I was finishing up at Bogdans church, I felt the Lord ask, “why not at your own church?”- Yeah! If I can have the courage to speak it to an audience I don’t know- I should be able to speak it to a church that I DO knowToday I want you to know you have to ‘be about it”I believe God wants to do great things with this church- big big things. But if we’re not “about it” we’ll never do it. ( going surfing, its not for the faint of heart- you have to be about it)Ephesians 4:16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.thats what its going to take to grow and sustain your spiritual life and the life of this church

Be about Christ

Eph 3:17-19This Christian life aint no jokeWe must be fully consumed with the things of God. Going to Disneyland- Up at 6 there til midnight- Spend money- keep the energy going- and that’s a theme park!Can’t get a Christian to show up early or stay after service. We want a 90 min God experience.We must be consumed with the things of God in every area of our lives-God is not looking for part time followers- Rev 3:16 bc you are lukewarm, neither hot nor coldMatt 10:37-39 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.The cost of discipleship is COSTLY- Its not for the faint- Jesus told Disc. To leave their jobs.in the army- tear you down- build you up- only one color- green- no one has a problem with this- They love to see people be consumed with the idea of total transformationbecause people know thats what it takes to win americas wars- we dont want to have part time soldiers out there we want trained fighters who have been properly trained to win and fight wars- You wouldn’t want someone to fight our wars who only trained 90min when convenient.I’d love to do that in the ministry! but people would say thats bad-but we’re fighting a spiritual war! We need full committed soldiers who are willing to die if need be- We have to BE ABOUT IT>Never in the army guy come home “yea man, that was just too hard training, I just came home”Quitting not an option Every day focused on the things of GodWhat you watch, listen to, read, friendships, not to “get saved” but because you’re saved!No one in the US army is sitting around wearing a uniform from another countryHealthy people hang out with healthy- wealthy people hang out with fiscally responsibleIf you’re not serious about it- you’re faking it!Today- I want to receive Christ if you haven’t. I want you to make a decision to live only for him2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Himbeing at Pagliacci- guy showed up late- made pizza slow- didn’t care about the productDont come here because you love the music, location, people etc. Come here because you’re called here- because if you’re called here- you’ll STAY HERE- BE ABOUT CHRIST
