Way back in some of my earlier episodes I spoke about generalisations and how they allow us to focus on other things and keep ourselves distracted. While we're focusing on our distractions, it allows us to completely ignore what we really need to look at. This is the basis of all the coaching I do and I'm often saying the phrase "the presenting problem is never the problem". In today's episode, I'm going into why we can't just force ourselves to carry out the steps that we think we can see to "fix" our distractions and why we can't do this from a place of frustration.
