We hold on to righteous anger for long periods of time. We justify our anger because of what they did to us. They owe us something or they should pay in some way to experience the pain that they served up to us.

They don't deserve to have a clear conscious after what they did, so I refuse to forgive them.

We people offend God we say nothing. We people offend us, we want retribution.

We have it twisted - this forgiveness thing. It is not about giving anyone peace of mind except ourselves.
