In today's "Mom Life Pep Talk," we dive into the concept of "making it mean." It's all about how our perspectives influence our life experiences. We look unto how we tend to attach meanings or perspectives to everything that happens to us, to others, and in the world around us.
I recently shared experience during a breathwork session with a friend. Where we talk about the idea that resting can sometimes be seen as lazy or unproductive. It's not the act of resting itself that's an issue, it's the meaning we give to it.
I want you to reflect on areas in your lives where you might be attaching negative meanings to your actions. Whether it's taking time for oneself or not completing the to-do list, it's essential to break free from self-judgment.
Choose perspectives and meanings that resonate positively with you. Let go of unnecessary self-criticism, embrace self-acceptance, pursue what feels right, and avoid attaching unwarranted meanings to your actions. Remember, you deserve to acknowledge your needs and choices without guilt or judgment.
