Design people can inspire us in dealing with problems embracing complexity and tapping into multiple resources and humanities.

IDEO is fascinating in the way that they think about people, the way that they think about recruiting. They describe their ideal employee as a T-shaped person. The horizontal stroke of the T means that this is a person that is deeply interested and able to engage fluently in lots and lots of different topics, but the vertical stroke of the T is their expertise, their deep expertise in one area.
