Why do I keep doing this? Why does this feel so familiar? Why does this pattern keep repeating even when I genuinely want it to stop?
Sometimes the answer is not that something is deeply wrong with you.
Sometimes the answer is, this did not start with you.
Not every pattern you carry began with a personal choice not every inner script is something you invented some things were modelled .
Some things were normalized, some things were absorbed quietly from the environments, families, relationships and systems you grew up in long before you had the language to question them.
The woman who cannot rest without guilt, she may have grown up watching women carry everything without stopping, where usefulness was the only thing that was celebrated.
The woman who over explains every time there is tension, she may have learned early that honesty was costly and keeping the peace was safer.
The woman who struggles to ask for help, she may have grown up in spaces where need looked like weakness and the strong ones carried things quietly.
The woman who shuts down during conflict she may have learned that emotions were only acknowledged when they were already exploding.
None of this is an excuse to stay stuck. But it is context and context changes everything.
Because it is very hard to heal what you do not understand. And shame has never healed anything.
In this episode, I walks through one of the most freeing realisations in healing, that what was inherited does not have to be permanent.
What was repeated does not have to be final, what was passed down does not have to keep ruling over you.
But first, it has to be named.
This episode includes a powerful four-part practical journaling and reflection tool to help you:
01 — Name the pattern
02 — Trace where it came from
03 — Identify the script it formed
04 — Ask what it actually needs now
Because not every script needs the same response. Some need truth. Some need healing, some need grief, some need new practice, some need support and wisdom the wisdom that comes from God's word is what helps you learn the difference.
This did not start with you but healing helps you choose what continues.
That is the invitation of this episode, come ready to be honest, come ready to be compassionate with yourself, come ready to ask the question that begins to loosen the grip of what has been shaping you quietly.
What in me may not have started with me?
