As we observe the terrible events related to the earthquakes and tsunami in Japan, we must turn to the Words of Jesus Christ. His commentary on disasters and massacres, reminds us that there is a terrible, eternal disaster — a warning that everyone ought to heed.

When these kinds of tragedies strike, what are we supposed to understand?
