Hand-written thank you cards may be one of the most tedious and necessary tasks in this season of your life. It is absolutely imperative that you send thank you cards out in a timely fashion and with the kind of appreciation the giver deserves (even if you're going to exchange the gift!)

When should thank you cards go out? Who gets them? How much time do I have? Do I have to hand-write them? What should I say?

NOTE a thank you card should at least contain the following:
1. Greeting - "Dear Angela and Bo..."
2. Tell them why you're writing - "Thank you so much for celebrating our wedding day with us..."
3. Mention the gift - "We absolutely love the blender that you got for us..."
4. Why you love the gift/how you're using it - "We will use it to make midnight margaritas!"
5. Thank them again - "Thank you for helping us start our married life together!"
6. Closing - "Love, Mary & Lyle"
