What Do Sales and Likeability Have in Common?
Do you want people to like you? Of course you do! We all do. Managers want to be liked by their team, yet often they are not. Why? Likeability isn’t a factor of who’s the most fun, easy to work for or gives Friday afternoons off. Often it is the opposite. They are the managers who work hard, are focused on doing their best, learning and growing in their position, and they help others do the same. People seek them as a source of knowledge and they are always willing to share that knowledge or help someone in need. Instead of ‘like’ we should start to focus on ‘respect.’ How can you get people to respect you. There are a few key behaviors and attitudes that are important in gaining the respect of others.
