Not that much according to Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Matthew O'Malley who is also a person who stutters from Florida, United States. And its not their fault. 

I must preface this podcast by saying I had the loveliest, kindest speech therapist in the UK. However my speech outside the controlled environment wasn't that good. I didn't live my life. I avoided all situations, feared rejection and wanted to kill myself.
