Supreme Court justices are held to a standard of ethical conduct during their time on the bench. Their spouses, however, aren’t held to the same kind of standard. In the news today, we learned that an upside-down American flag flown at Justice Samuel Alito’s home was put there by his wife in protest of the 2020 election results.
