There were some wins and losses when it comes to the midterm elections but we wanted to take the time to acknowledge the audacity of some women of color who dared take part in the electoral process. Some made historic first, others showed tremendous tenacity in the face of obstacle after obstacle. Ultimately, we wanted our listeners to remember that small beginnings can ultimately yield big results and that we have to be willing to continue to fight for ourselves and those within our communities.
