• To have at least one connection (with a student) moment
• A student who doesn't resist what you're teaching
• To be able to introduce and work with a student on a concept or technique that involves struggle
• To have time to reflect and process on where the student's development is at and what you can bring to them
• To receive an emotional reaction that the student is being emotionally effected - no indifference allowed
