There’s something really heartbreaking about your child looking at you in the morning and saying,
“I don’t want to go to school.”
Especially when they’re crying.
Because suddenly, something that seemed so simple — getting dressed, getting in the car, dropping them off — turns into this huge emotional decision.
Do I comfort her and let her stay home?
Do I tell her, “It’s okay, you still have to go”?
Am I teaching resilience?
Or am I ignoring what she’s trying to tell me?
And I think that’s where a lot of parents struggle.
