Disciples of Christ marry disciples of Christ so that Christ can be Lord of marriage on Earth.
Christian marriage is a union of two disciples...NOT because you got married in a church.
They submit to Christ in their personal lives first and then they come together with a Holy sanctity recognizing that this union is what God wants on Earth before they get to Heaven.
Marriage is not to make us happy but to make us Holy.
Marriage is God's idea, not to be defined by anything.
