Hi everybody. Welcome to Episode 21 of the Photography Explained podcast.
I’m your host Rick McEvoy and I explain one photographic thing per episode in plain English in less that 10 minutes without the irrelevant detail. I have well over 30 years of experience in photography so I do know what I am talking about!
In this episode - What Does Exposure Mean In Photography?
Here is my answer
In photography, the exposure is the amount of light that reaches the camera sensor. The amount of light that reaches the sensor is controlled how long the sensor is exposed to light (shutter), and the amount of light let through the opening in the lens (aperture). These two factors combine with the sensitivity of the sensor (ISO) to create an exposure.
