What does it mean to be Righteous?

Listen Later

Gen 15:2-6

Righteousness – Tsedakah, moral justice

Moral – to be able to distinguish between right and wrong.

Morals are not what “we believe” is right, but what Yahweh views as “right.” While I might love the taste of pork, crab, shrimp, or lobster, Yahweh does not, and forbids it, because it is “unclean.”

Genesis 18:16-22

Judgment – mishpat, “verdicts, Law, Order.”

This Covenant did not just pertain to Abraham, but everyone that walks in Yahwehs Ways.

Deut 6:24-25

“And it shall be our righteousness….” is not found in the original text. What is written is; “It is Righteousness….”

If you literally “add to, or take from Scripture,” just 5 little words, you can alter the entire text of Scripture, and pervert corrupt righteousness. And thats exactly what has happened.

Romans 10:3

When you combine these two passages, they have made it to appear like “the Law is man-made,” and therefore can be thrown out. However, if you remove these 5 words, and then read what Paul says;

“...For they being ignorant of Yahweh's righteousness….have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of Yahweh.”

They refused to keep the Commandments, because they didn’t understand it.

Ignorant – agnoeo, to ignore because of lack of understanding.

Psalm 11:5-7

Psalm 24:3-6

Pr 8:12-36
