What does submission in a realtion really mean?
Submission speaks about subjugation. I often wonder why our male counterparts want to lead us. I often wonder why they want to be in control of us.
Loyalty is what you should be seeking. Loyalty means that I have your back for life.
As someone who respects myself so much, I am not going to disrespect another, at least not knowingly. So, if there is loyalty and mutual respect, why is it so important to you to be in total control of another person?
We should strive for wholeness and therefore have an interdependent, whole relationship whereby we share our lives with each other, not own them.
A relationship is not a do-or-die affair. We are here primarily to experience life as divinity having a human experience. So, if a relationship with another is one of the ways you have chosen to have this experience, then fine, but let it not be as if it has to be in a particular way for the experience to happen.
