In this episode of The Overgivers Anonymous Podcast, I want to talk to you about success. What does success mean to you? I'm going to share with you what success means to me and some concepts to consider when thinking about what success means to you.
Highlights:
A lot of people feel that success is something that happens in the future. Something that occurs over time. Once you reach “it” you will feel fulfilled.
I think success surrounds us. People feel that they see, unfortunately, we tend to see failure easier than success. I encourage you to look at the success in your life.
Success isn't necessarily an actual finish line. To me, if it was a finish line, it would keep moving forward because we are always growing.
Entrepreneurship can alter our concept of success. By nature, people who strive for goals are always looking ahead to the next milestone. Sometimes our sense of success gets lost because we don't stop long enough to be able to look and say “Hey, I was successful, right?”.
Being viewed as a “business success” to the world and actually feeling successful are two different things.
My team makes me feel successful. My team is the foundation of my business and together we are hitting milestones to my business goals.
It is important to me that each and every one of my team members feel like they succeed every single day.
Success to me is about looking at all the little pieces and making sure that we're working together as a team. We actually honour every single successful moment as we navigate this tricky world.
I'm going to continue to strive while building and growing my business to move it forward. I'm not going to undervalue my current success because I'm waiting for a bigger one.
I encourage you to write down your yearly goals, break them out into quarters, break them down into months, and then revisit them monthly and quarterly so you can stay on track throughout the entire year on your goal quest.
