Making the Maven

What Does Success Mean? What Does It Really Mean? | Stacy Hartmann | MTM060

Listen Later

On this interview, Stacy and I talk about the hustle and the ups and downs of entrepreneurship. Stacy Hartmann started out in corporate, has been in business for the last five years, and has had her own online business for the last two. Stacy talks about breaking through barriers and as you reach new ceilings as an entrepreneur, how those barriers never really go away. Towards the end, Stacy even flips the interview on me and asks me a couple of questions! I think the biggest takeaway is that success is about defining how you want to feel, not how you think you should feel.

*It boils down to your personal fulfillment. You can have a ton of business goals and still feel empty on the inside.

Maven Moment:

I loved when Stacy talked about defining your own success. As many of you know, I built a very successful brick and mortar business, but after achieving business milestone after business milestone and hitting those goals, I still wasn't fulfilled, at least not in the way I thought I'd be once I got to the end of the road. I still felt like something was missing and that something was just the fact that I wasn't living my life the way I wanted to. I wasn't putting my most authentic self forward and I knew something had to change. What I learned at the end of the day is that, success is about defining how you want to feel in your life and in your business. How do you feel now? Send me an email or comment!
