Have you ever wondered: What does surrendering to God Look like? Or, do you want to know how to be a sold-out Christian?
Mark 1:1-8
People thought John the Baptist was crazy. He wore weird clothes, and ate weird food, and had a weird message.
BUT he was walking with God in total surrender. And because he was exactly where God wanted him, doing exactly what God wanted him to do, he didn’t care that people called him crazy and rejected him.
He focused on the people who didn’t, pouring into them and keeping his core focus on God.
What Does Surrendering to God Look Like - Characteristic 1: Reduced concern about what people think of you.
What Does Surrendering to God Look Like - Characteristic 2: Honoring and obeying God is the central focus of one’s life
When we are aligned with the Lord, when our eyes are on him, when we are fully surrendered to him, when we are focused on what the Lord wants us to do, nothing else matters. Nothing can phase us when our focus is right. People can reject us, hate us, call us crazy, and mock us, and it won’t affect us in the slightest because we do not look to people for our affirmation, we look to God. And as we stay the course, we become a shining beacon of hope in a hopeless world.
What Does Surrendering to God Look Like - Characteristic 3: Joy and peace because you have your identity solidly placed in the right spot.
Are you so aligned with and surrendered to the Lord that the opinions of man do not phase you? If not, why? What is stopping you from fully surrendering your life to God?
