In this episode, Arnie and Fred begin a discussion of what the Bible says about wives and their role in the marriage relationship. We begin, as we did in the episodes about husbands, that God established the marriage relationship and the roles for husbands and wives in the marriage. We note that the Bible says that the wife must love her husband and it is so obvious that it is often taken for granted to the detriment of the marriage. This is actually commanded in the Bible. We talk about a number of reasons that many women marry for and how these might affect a marriage. The Bibe teaches that the wife is to support her husband as passages in Genesis tell us.  We discuss passages in the Bible that say that the wife must be subject to her husband which includes the subject of headship and what that means.
