I was raised in a strict church growing up and I always thought the fear of God was to be afraid of God that he was waiting for me to do wrong so he could have harm come to me. But that is not the truth at all. The fear of God is to hate evil as it says in Proverbs 8:13, That verse has change my heart and mind towards the things of God.
