As we know, the observable universe is huge, but it has limits. That's because we know the universe isn't infinitely old—we know the Big Bang occurred some 13.8 billion years ago. Although there is no evidence that the universe has an edge, scientists don't understand why there is a limit to how far out we can see into Outer Space.
