"What Fuels your Fear" Podcast Overview

3 Major Talking points: Battle of the Sexes and Safety, Social Media Mind Control, Learn from "The Man and the WoMan"

Intro: Hello and hope you're doing well whenever you're seeing this, hearing this, or reading this. I'm your host, That Girl, Jenna Curacoa. I go Live on Facebook and Youtube Monday through Saturday 2323 (11:23PM). I'm on Blog Spot, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest

Segment 1: Josh Brolin, famous actor, white male. Read a recent article from "Men's Journal" interviewing him and attempting to gain better understanding into his perspective of fear. "The idea of safety sounds like death." Another quote, "All fear is self-created. None of it's real." He's at a point in life where it's "fuck it mode." Been studying about use the use of fear, and the downsides of being in a constant state and how damaging it can be in the long run. There are major concerns for people to be cautious, more so for women than men. It is difficult to get into the mindset he's expressing for varying reasons. I do not want to accuse him of being out of touch, but perhaps he is. Many women would like to feel as comfortable as he does about not living in fear.

Segment 2: Media has an affect on the minds of its consumers that takes me back to yesterday's podcast about the film Get Out. The focus of that film depicts a black man as the victim which brings up many conversations surrounding that theme. It also exhibits the influence of TV and hypnosis. So many, men and women of any race fallen victim to the powers of social media, many kept stagnant by fear. Many may not realize that they're being held captive by fear. Someone or many people have been able to get in the heads of many victims, leading them astray. Depression, anxiety, insecurities.

Segment 3: Learning from others, even "The Man."  As always, the balance needs to be there. I usually avoid expressions like "My Truth." The reality for many is the only truth they can understand. To hear that Mr. Brolin lives a life feeling safety sounds like death and all fear is self created, makes me wonder about another white male's video (simonlee107)where he shares his experience of walking out of a building the same time as a woman. He observed her behavior and realized she was afraid of him, quickly getting into her car and locking the door. He was so unaware of the fear many women have of men, possibly from negative experiences with them.  What we can learn from both of these perspectives. Is the fear self created, and what does the past effects or presents affects of abuse have on this mindset?

Closing: Hope whenever you're consuming this content you're doing well.  Tomorrow is Sunday, so no Podcast. Be back Monday with more. God's Peace
