The Supreme Court’s bench headed by Chief Justice S A Bobde has asked the government to submit the details of the development in Indian emobility plan in four weeks.

The government has given financial support for 2.61 Lakh electric and hybrid vehicles from 2012 to December 2019.

The financial support was included in the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid) and Electric Vehicles in India (FAME) scheme launched in 2015.

A report by the World Economic Forum said that India is poised to become the largest EV market in the world.
