As Christians, we are called to be bold and confident. It is not God’s will that we are fearful or afraid of anything; this spirit comes from the enemy. Satan uses fear to control us; we therefore must be extremely sensitive to its presence in our lives. One of the worst things about living in fear is that it keeps us in bondage, which is why we must resist it and fight against it with every fiber of our being. What we focus on is critical; we win our spiritual battle when we focus on what God says instead of on what the devil says. It is dangerous not to know God through a personal relationship with Him because Satan uses our ignorance of God to make his words of fear sound like God’s Word. A solid grounding in the Word keeps us from being deceived.
