What I Love And Don't Love About My Work I Love: Saving cats in the wild, setting rehab cats free, preserving nature and the planet, inspiring compassion, writing, poetry, painting, creative film making, inspiring new creative approaches to old problems, showing that we are all ONE, that my path is relatively my own choosing, ending abuse of cats, having purpose, drive and focus, being my own boss, living in paradise, working with those who care about saving wild cats and the planet, learning new skills, feeling accomplished, giving bobcats and other wildcats a second shot at life, helping others succeed, challenges. What I don’t love: Managing people, government bureaucracy, fundraising, begging for money, seeing cats in cages, flying, public speaking, being around people, worrying about the cats, their care, natural disasters, the media promoting false narratives for their own benefit, threats to my family, cats and others in this field, being a boss to anyone else, being tied to one location, being in front of a computer, apathetic decision makers, forgetting, feeling what I’ve done and am doing is not enough, fear of not having vets when I need them, lazy people, boredom. Hi, I’m Carole Baskin and I’ve been writing my story since I was able to write, but when the media goes to share it, they only choose the parts that fit their idea of what will generate views. These are my views and opinions. If I'm going to share my story, it should be the whole story. The titles are the dates things happened. If you have any interest in who I really am please start at the beginning of this playlist: http://savethecats.org/ I know there will be people who take things out of context and try to use them to validate their own misconception, but you have access to the whole story. My hope is that others will recognize themselves in my words and have the strength to do what is right for themselves and our shared planet.
