Episode 56: What I Wish I Knew as a Mom Before ABA
In this episode of the ABA Mom Podcast, I’m getting real about my journey as a young mom before I understood behavior the way I do now. I became a BCBA in 2020, but long before that, I was 19, overwhelmed, and doing the best I could—with a lot of yelling, time-outs, and trying to “win” every moment.
Now, with my oldest graduating high school, I’m reflecting on what I didn’t understand back then… and what I would do differently today.
This episode is for the moms in the thick of it—the ones who feel like every behavior is a battle, every moment matters, and every mistake weighs heavy.
In this episode, we talk about:
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, reactive, or unsure if you’re “doing it right,” this episode is for you.
You’re not alone—and you’re allowed to grow.
