On this episode of GoodTheology, a listener's question had us so intrigued that it totally sidelined our sermon and scripture reading and we called in reinforcements to tackle it. One of our listeners asks us, why do call-and-response prayers matter, and what if the prayers we hear are in a language we don't understand?
It's a great complex question—and one that could take weeks to answer—but Fr. Jeremy tries to give it a go with our special guest, Chaplain Josh Jeffreys.
As always we first center ourselves and our intensions with the following prayer:
Our Ears To Hear You. Our Eyes to See You. Our Behavior to Share You. Glory be to you God. Source of All-Being, Incarnate Word, and Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
