WrestleMania season sparks the wrestling fan's imagination. What if we could create our ultimate dream cards, bringing together superstars across different eras? That's exactly what we explore in this nostalgic yet forward-looking episode.
Four wrestling enthusiasts – Scott, Jim, Keith, and listener Sean from Pennsylvania – craft their fantasy WrestleMania events with no restrictions on time periods or wrestling promotions. The only rule: participants must be from 1980 to present day. What follows is a fascinating journey through wrestling history as we build cards that feature dream matchups like Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle in a 60-minute Iron Man match, Sting vs. The Undertaker in a Buried Alive match, and an absolutely brutal fantasy bout between New Jack and Abdullah the Butcher.
Each dream card reveals something about its creator's wrestling preferences – Keith's love of pure technical wrestling without gimmicks, Jim's appreciation for the legends of Wembley Stadium, Scott's imagination for never-before-seen spectacles like Andre the Giant facing off against Omos, and Sean's appetite for hardcore wrestling extremes. When we feed these fantasy matchups to AI to determine winners, the results sometimes surprise even us.
