A country is an imaginary line inside which there are some rules and infrastructure to keep us safe and help our lives work. That is all it is. Not a religion. Not a culture. It is purely utilitarian in nature, yet it is being treated like the core of people's identities and ideologies. Out of all the different things one might base their entire identity and ideology on, something as utilitarian a country just doesn't make any sense.
