What does a designer see when their life flashes before their eyes?

A designer’s job isn’t all pixel-perfect designs layered upon beautiful visuals and smooth, animated prototypes. It’s also about rounding the corners here and there, which steals seconds that bleed into minutes and then hours of our time.

While developers, illustrators, and copywriters can already delegate their mundane tasks to Copilot, Midjourney, and ChatGPT, why do UX designers keep recoloring default gray shapes by hand? And what place do AI tools have in the sphere of UI/UX design?
