As of January 2020, the total number of actions pending against C. R. Bard in the respective multidistric litigation (MDL) has reached a total of nearly 8,000 cases. The Cook IVC Filter MDL instead has surpassed 6,000 cases, although another approximately 1,000 have been settled or discarded already.
