You know, we always talk about taxes and all the good things because you know, I love that kind of stuff. But I also take questions and one of the questions I received is what is a split refund. Apparently they’re working on their taxes and saw that and they weren’t too sure what to do with it. It’s a kind of a pretty cool thing – two things. One, maybe a husband and wife are filing together, but maybe they also each know how much their refund or they want 50% or maybe have a savings account. You want some of the money to go to saving some of it to go into your general checking. That’s what a split refund. Now if your tax preparer basically turns around and says almost split your refund, that is something you need to be contacting the IRS. That is not allowed.
