The film deals with the whole gender question, including several highly controversial aspects of transgenderism, specifically related to the effects on young children who are being "affirmed" to transition. But really, the fundamental question filmmaker Matt Walsh is asking is right in the title of the film itself. And he never REALLY gets a complete, comprehensive, holistic definition in answer to his query.
