What’s an Audience Persona? It could sound like some kind of alien life form.
Audience Personas are a method to research, identify and understand your target markets. They can be tricky to put together as they're essentially a creative form of market research.
Without Audience Personas, marketing to a niche audience can be difficult. In order to have the best edge in the marketplace, insight into your target audience is key. You need to know what makes them tick, their likes and dislikes, and what motivates them to take action.
Audience Persona works by breaking down your typical customer into various categories such as:
1) Location (where does your typical customer live)
2) Demographics (what age, sex, marital status, etc.)
3) Behaviour (how does your typical customer behave when buying goods and services in this particular industry)
4) Purchase frequency (how many times a year do they buy within this industry and what is the average spend)
5) Budget (eg. How much are they spending per order/purchase on average).
