Matthew 28:1-7

I. Easter Is About __________ ___ _______________ All Obstacles. (vs. 1-4)

When you look at the scene at the tomb – you have to say, “Something Happened Here”.

We serve a God of power. He is alive, active and awake.

Easter says, “Get Up”, “Go to the tomb”, “God is not dead”.

II. Easter Is About A ________ _______________ All Other Men. (vs. 5)

Jesus is the focus of Easter. Jesus is the only man who has lived and died and left behind an empty tomb.

Jesus is like no other man. He can offer help, guidance, and salvation.

III. Easter Is About ____________ Over Our Greatest Enemy. (vs. 6-7)

On Friday, the body of Jesus was placed safely behind bars, then sealed and guarded. Death had never lost a battle.

On Sunday, Easter morning, it was revealed that Jesus now had the keys – death had lost, life had won.

Easter is about hope. Easter is about victory. Easter is about eternal life.

CONCULSION:

Easter is about power, victory and Jesus.
