She started law school at New York University School of Law, where she was a staff editor of the NYU Law Review and Vice President of the Law and Business Association. During her second year, after her mom was diagnosed with advanced cancer, she transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, where she completed her legal studies. She spent four years as an attorney at Latham & Watkins LLP in Los Angeles, specializing in complex commercial and bankruptcy litigation. She then pursued an MBA, graduating first in her class from the University of California, Los Angeles Anderson School of Management, where she focused on entrepreneurship.
