A lot of people say a lot of very definite things about who God is, as if that's how we've always thought about God and how everyone thinks about God. Then, what do we do with the fact that a lot of our images for God date back to a Canaanite storm god named Yahweh? We should probably expand our notions, let go of an ounce of our certainties, and leave room for something far bigger.
