This week we're showcasing a TOA16 talk by Katie Dill. When Katie spoke at TOA she was a Director of Experience Design at Airbnb but in October of 2017 she joined Lyft as their VP of Design.
Katie's talk was entitled "Balancing Chaos and Order in UX" and she explains that user experience is about way more than web design or one moment of interaction with a customer. Katie uses examples from companies such as Virgin Airlines, Disney, Lyft and Airbnb to showcase how seemingly small elements of the customer journey send a big message about what the brand is all about. Katie provides five tips to help designers and marketers bring order to the chaos and provide an unforgettable user experience every time.
Hosts Niko Woischnik and Danielle Lemieux discuss Katie's talk and about why user experience is so essential for "millennials" or "generation y" customers.
Tune in next week to hear a TOA17 fireside chat between Philipp Rösler, Former Vice-Chancellor of Germany and Sabrina Hoffmann, Editor-in-chief at Business Insider.
