Mankind is a mystery to himself. What is man is both a taxonomical and philosophical mystery. We look at ourselves and it seems obvious what a human is, nothing is more visible or obvious. It is not that we cannot identify who we are visually, but who are we conceptually? What makes us human because it is not our physical appearance.
