Dr. Paul continues his series dealing with the contents of the Bible, in a survey type way, to answer the question of why some people love it, while others hate it. In this podcast, he looks at the Gospels and Acts of the Apostles. Specifically, he defines what the Gospel is and why it is ”good news.” Also, he discusses the abuse of Matthew 7:1 (”Judge not that ye be not judged”), the reality of eternal hell (Lk 16:19-31), and the deity of Jesus found in John 1:1-3, 14. Dr. Paul then looks, briefly, at the Book of Acts and addresses the exclusivity of Jesus’ name (Acts 4:12), the abrogation of the Old Testament dietary laws and the Apostle Peter’s vision (Acts 10:14), and finally the importance of Scriptural authority and the Bereans in Acts 17:11.
