As we journey through this life both naturally and spiritually we tend to

collect “stuff”.  We hold tightly to dreams, goals, ministries, titles,

relationships:  even unhealthy things such as bitterness, anger,

addictions, and disappointments. God was asking Moses to release a simple

wooden stick, a Shepherd's staff so that He could transform it into the rod

of God. When Moses let go, God was able to use the rod on a greater level

for His glory and kingdom. Moses became a nation's leader, a rescuer, and

he experienced the miracle of splitting the Red Sea, thus the delivering of

a nation...
