When the narrator meets a beautiful woman named Marissa and begins dating her, she's forced to confront a disturbing truth: her best friend Kellie—the one going through a messy divorce—might have feelings for her, and the narrator might feel the same way.
EPISODE SUMMARYThere are rumors circulating around the book club circle that the narrator is dating someone.
The narrator would like to be on the record: This is absolutely not true. Fake news. Alternative facts. Complete fabrication.
She has no charm. No sexiness. Zero personality. She's about as romantic as a tax return and as smooth as chunky peanut butter.
Whoever started these rumors clearly has her confused with someone interesting.
But then...
Plot twist.
The rumors are true.
The narrator is, in fact, dating someone.
Enter Marissa:
She's twenty-seven. A former college cheerleader. Way out of the narrator's league. Like, different stratosphere out of her league. Premier League versus local Sunday pub team level of difference.
And how did they meet? The narrator went into a library to pee. And bumped into Marissa on her way out.
