We are made in God's image, designed to reflect His love in everything we do. Yet because of sin, we often replace God's love with selfishness and idolatry instead. The call to think about "whatever is lovely" grounds our decision-making in the reality of God's love, helping us discern how to truly love Him and love our neighbor as ourselves.
