Migraine with aura is about 30% of the total migraine experience and usually has a visual aura, like seeing a crystal, zig-zag line, or half of things, before the headache starts.  Aura symptoms may also be numbness on one side of the body, like hand to cheek, or trouble talking.Migraine with aura has a 6% risk of stroke and women with this type of migraine should never take an estrogen pill, patch or, shot.Britt Talley Daniel MD
