In this podcast we explore the topic of hope and how this leads us to find our identity in God alone. This is the first question of the New City Catechism which is a good resource for students exploring the Christian faith. If you are a student in our youth ministry this will help us in our group discussions. If you are just looking for good resources related to the Christian faith and youth ministry I am glad you found this podcast. I origonally made this as a video for my YouTube channel Pete Koenen - Speaking Up https://youtu.be/A22zAay8dAc
You can find the New City Catechism on their website. http://newcitycatechism.com/
This is not affiliated with NCC in any way, just me, trying to teach through some really cool topics and sharing what I have learned. I use the kids version of the catechism! You may also want to read a more expansive version of this question in the Heidelberg Catechism.
Verse used in this lesson: Romans 14:8 “If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.” (NIV) Ephesians 2:10 “ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (ESV) Deuteronomy 7:6 “For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.” (NIV) Thank you for being a part of this community, and as always feel free to check out the other videos I have made related to youth ministry.
