Congress returned from a holiday recess Monday, for what promises to be a whirlwind three weeks before the December recess. On the agenda is government funding, which is set to run out on December 16th. Experts are divided on whether lawmakers have the time to produce a full appropriations bill, or whether they’ll instead opt for another continuing resolution. Other items on the to-do list include the National Defense Authorization Act and the Respect for Marriage Act, the latter of which could be finalized this week.
